A tricycle warranty can be broken down into different sub-components:

  • the chassis
  • the mechanical parts (derailleur, brakes, steering, …)
  • the electrical components (screen, electronic controller, wiring, etc.)
  • battery
  • engine

The warranty periods for these components vary depending on the brand. To obtain accurate information about a tricycle’s warranty, it is essential to thoroughly research beforehand what is and isn’t covered, the warranty duration, and the warranty conditions, such as coverage for labor, the diagnostic procedure, and the shipment of spare parts. These are all important points to know in order to compare the warranties offered by different brands.

If you encounter a problem with your DAMIUS electric tricycle, we will establish a remote diagnosis of the fault you are experiencing by asking you various questions. The electric assistance system equipping our adult tricycles is notably capable of detecting a fault, identifying it and providing an error code displayed directly on the screen. Thanks to this error code we are able to know exactly where the problem comes from and find the solution immediately! Everything on our tricycles has been designed to be very reliable and for each part to be easily replaceable by the user himself. We will send you the defective part(s) with the necessary instructions for replacement so that you or a relative with some knowledge can replace them yourself.

If you are unable to repair your tricycle yourself, depending on the circumstances, we can either redirect you to the nearest cycle shop to have your tricycle repaired, or call on a home repairer if there is one in your geographical area. We take care of all the arrangements with this repairer, whoever it may be, providing him with the necessary spare parts and instructions so that he can intervene effectively.

We carry out these procedures during the warranty period but also afterwards! The only difference is that we will cover the parts and labor during the warranty period for a breakdown covered by the warranty, whereas these costs will be your responsibility beyond the warranty period or if the breakdown is not covered by the warranty.

From the moment the specifications are drawn up, one of the important points is ease of maintenance and repair in addition to perfect reliability. We therefore took these factors into consideration when designing our tricycles.

First of all, each spare part has been rigorously selected from the biggest brands. Then, each part we designed was dimensioned to be as strong as possible. Finally, the main components of our tricycles are easily replaceable by the user themselves, with a simple screwdriver in most cases!

So if any problem should arise, there is no need to worry, we will do what is necessary to diagnose the fault and we will provide you with the part to replace with the necessary explanations. And if necessary, we will call in a technician to intervene.

For our entire range, the warranty periods under normal conditions of use are as follows:

Our frames come with a lifetime warranty (for private individuals only. Frames are guaranteed for 2 years for professionals).
All other components are guaranteed for 2 years (including the motor and battery).
Wear parts not covered by the warranty: brake pads and discs, chains, tires, inner tubes, handlebar grips, cables, and housing.
